Hours of Operation:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday - Saturday: closed Sunday
We offer after hours appointments with an approved application!
Applications can be found on the "Adoptable Pets" page.
*please see below for the reasoning for our hours
Adoptable animals can be viewed on the "Adoptable Pets" page and are also posted on our Facebook page.
Volunteers are welcome on nice days during our morning hours to play with dogs, or any day during our morning hours to play with our cats.
Please call for an appointment 574-936-8300 or email at marshallcountyhumanesociety@gmail.com.
Why our hours are limited to the public:
- Low traffic means a lower-stress environment for the shelter animals.
- Processing applications take time and it gives us time to process your application prior to coming in and can allow us to assist you in finding the best pet for your family.
- This allows you to have a more one-on-one interaction when meeting our animals without the distraction of others.
- It gives us time to be able to speak with you one-on-one about any questions or concerns about your potential adoption, and our time is not taken away from those who do not intend to adopt.
- With an approved application we will make arrangements for after hour meet and greets!
The Purfect Program
Our "purfect program" is a great way to get your outdoor cats fixed and help reduce the overwhelming cat population. This program is a low cost way to get OUTDOOR cats fixed, NOT your own household cats. You must call us here at the shelter to get approved, stop in for a contract, and we'll get you on the list for this program. Once you're approved you're able call Parrett's Vet Clinic to schedule an appointment. All cats must be brought in the appointment in a live trap, not regular carries. Females $50 & Males $40 - Included in this price, that you are responsible for, the cat will be neutered/spayed, given a rabies vaccine, and an ear tip. The ear tip is a great, non-painful, way for people to know that this cat is an outdoor cat who has been fixed and vetted and free to roam without increasing the cat population. The ear tip is required and not an option.

DONATE
|
Would you please consider making a donation to help us in our work? We are a small organization and every dollar helps.
An annual contribution of $12 from you can make a very big difference for us. For your convenience, we have added the ability to donate through PayPal. You can also set up monthly donation through PayPal which will ensure our pets receive the care they need. Just click the yellow Donate button below to get started! PayPal does charge a small fee (which is deducted from the donation), so if you prefer to avoid having this fee deducted from our donation, you can have 100% of your donation used to help the animals by mailing a check to us at: Marshall County Humane Society, PO Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563 |
